Usually, I continue heading west until I reach Park Avenue, and then it's downtown for the rest of my walk. However, when I get to the corner of Lexington Avenue, if the traffic light's not in my favor, sometimes I turn left and head south for a block. If I do this, I pass (yum, yum)....

"Le Pain Quotidian,"

a Belgian bakery (whatever my route to work may be, enevitably, there's always a nice place like this to tempt me!). As I pass, I gaze at the display of goodies. Ever so occasionally, I stop in and purchase a treat for breakfast. (They have great croissants, which actually were written up in New York Magazine as one of the City's best.)

Looking south down Lexington, in the distance I see this strange-looking building that I refer to as...

the "Rocket Ship Building."
